In episode 2 of “The Cheap Seats” Rossy and Kern talked playoffs, coaches on the hot draft lottery and answered some listener tweets.
Round 1 analysis: The guys discussed the results from round 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs and the differences between a traditional series upset and a modern day upset. Was the Blues beating the Hawks an upset? What about the Preds downing the Ducks?
They also went over who they thought were some of the letdowns from round 1: Roberto Luongo and the NYR.
Coaches on the hot seat: What does the future hold for Bruce Boudreau, Ken Hitchcock and Alain Vigneault?
Will the Ducks finally make a change that Ducks fans have been asking for? What about Alain Vigneault? If the Rangers Cup window is closing, what changes are needed? With the exit of Dan Boyle, does Keith Yandle get a big new deal? Will Vigneault be Jeff Gorten’s guy moving forward and if so, how short is the leash?
And finally, what about Ken Hitchcock? Does the elimination of the defending champs get Hitch another year? How good a result must the Blues get against Dallas to assure Hitchcock’s return?
The Draft Lottery: Who will win it? Can Edmonton pull it off again? Is there as good a 2nd place prize as Jack Eichel was for the Sabres last year?
Listener tweets: Should the Rangers sign Keith Yandle at any cost? Other than getting Carey Price back, what do the Habs need to improve on last year? Would Bruce Boudreau be a good fit in Ottawa?
