It’s looking like a good mix aof games on the slate this evening and DraftKings and Fanduel each have some hefty prize pools tonight for the NHL.

We have a healthy 9 games slate tonight in the NHL on the second day of the season and as we jump right in, let’s head out to Vegas where we see they are projecting 4 of the 9 games to go over the 5.5 team goal total. I am targeting the over games in my lineups for the majority of my players because I feel strongly you will be able to find the most value from these target games.

From these games we will construct our single, strongest lineup we can use for all cash games. After tinkering and finding what works best for me, I now I only play 2 cash lineups where I can fit them and GPPs are basically variations off my main lineup.

Boston Bruins @ Columbus Blue Jackets

Brad Marchand $7,000

This game that is looking to be a shootout.  Our man here is none other Brad Marchand who dominates every inch of the ice and plays upwards of 19 plus minutes a night, power play and short-handed. Now that Fanduel changed their scoring a shorthanded goal is worth a bunch of extra points. I am going to have to one off him to stick to my plan, but he is playing with newly aquired Backes who will look to get off to a strong start.

Montreal @ Buffalo

Brendan Gallagher $5,900

Shea Weber $5,900

I am looking to the Canadiens to get the scoring going.  Brenden Gallagher is one of the best at getting individual shot attempts, and is head and shoulders above the rest of his team. Rather than pair him with a linemate I want to pay up a bit and roster newly aquired Shea Weber, who will be firing laser beams from the point with his blistering slapshot. He will be looking to work out the kinks with his new team and will be firing shots on net.

Minnesota @ St. Louis

Robbie Fabbri $4,700

Paul Stastny $6,000

Sami Vatanen $5,000

On to St. Louis, who won last night and is hosting Minnesota. I like the way they played and think they will have some extra pep in their step at home with a little chip on their shoulder in front of their own crowd. Robby Fabbri is another top individual shot attempt player and paired here on the same line with Paul Stastny.

I like these two to get on the board, especially with last change and because they play on different power play units as well as the same first line. This way you can open yourself up to multiple power play options yet gain correlation from them playing on the same line.

They are playing against the Wild who sport a new coach, fresh from Anaheim, Bruce Boudreau. I think they will jump on the Wild and hold them to two or maybe a single goal.

Washington @ Pittsburgh

Scott Wilson $2,900

Now we go to Pittsburgh where we are going to one-off Scott Wilson who is bumped up to the first line alongside Malkin and Kunitz and is very cheap. With all that talent surrounding I want to use him because of the low price, low floor and unlimited ceiling he possesses, especially considering he played well as of late.

Anaheim @ Dallas

Jason Spezza $6,000

Sami Vatanen $5,000

Now to Dallas where we are going to target the second line with Jason Spezza who also play on the first power play unit. Paying up for Benn and Seguin really can throw your team out of wack, but if you can make it fit then i am all for it.

Finally I wanted to include a defenseman from the same game and the second pairing, and second power play guy Sami Vatanen is my man.  Blocked shots or shots on net and creating chances, Vatanen has the skill to get it done and will look to figure in on the scoring tonight.
