Tonight we are looking for strong value in the return for the price as we pick our NHL DFS team. Only a small five-game slate, sometime fading the first line players who sometimes take a night off, and looking to the grinders and second line players to get the job done.

DraftKings is running $1 and $2 satellites into G.P.P’s that will begin the week that playoffs begin according to an email I received from their game department. They are also running new flash games that allow you bonus FPP points that work towards free game in the future. Its great and is single entry, get on it and check often.

G-J.Gibson- Anaheim- $8,000
Gibson will help his team vie for the top spot over the Kings in the Pacific Division with a win against a Canuck team that has struggled mightily over the last few weeks. Sporting a .918 Save Percentage and 2.11 Goals Against Average, I look for Gibson to have a big game as Anaheim shuts down a Vancouver team aching for the end of the season, hinted at by Sedin’s lack of celebration last night after scoring.

D- R.Suter- Wild- $6,000
Back to Suter, but only because Jared Spurgeon was injured last night and all the defenders saw a huge uptick in ice time. Suter played 29.5 minutes last night, half the game, which is a ton of ice even for him. On a small slate, I want him on defense as I am looking for him to bear the load again and log upwards of 30 minutes of ice.

D- J.Brodin- Wild- $2,700
Brodin played 21.1 minutes last night and will see the same tonight as the Wild are short their No. 23 defenseman tonight in Detroit. For the price of $8,700 you can get two defenseman that averaged 50.6 minutes last night and will see a lot of the same tonight. The value in that is worth the average with a huge upside in the ceiling.

W- M.Johansson- Capitals- $4,000
At a great value price, Johansson will be skating on the top line with Ovechkin against a terrible iCorsi possession team in the Colorado Avalanche. With 15 goals and 25 assists, Johansson also sees valuable first-unit power play time.

W- A. Ladd- Chicago- $5,200
Ladd is back home in Winnipeg again as the ‘Hawks fly into Winnipeg tonight to face a sub par Jets team. With 23 goals so far, Ladd has seen increased ice time as his production has steadily increased since the trade.

C- A. Steen- St. Louis- $6,100
Steen is the man again now that he is healthy and has found his game hitting the board in his first game back. In 62 games this year, Steen has registered 17 goals and 32 assists along with 162 shots on goal.

C- Kesler- Anaheim- $5,400
Kesler has played well of late and is back after taking a game off earlier this week. Eighteen goals and 152 shots on net, Kesler will look to take advantage of the matchup their line plays against and the turnovers create from turnovers caused by tired legs from two games in as many days.

Utility- J.Silverberg- $5,100
Paired with Kesler on the same line, these two have matched up well against teams bottom lines especially with home ice advantage and the last line change it allows you. The wily tactician he is, Anaheim coach Boudreau will make the correct match ups against Vancouver’s lack of depth.
