DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup – April 7

It was a rough night last night, as Steve Mason couldn’t post the win against the Red Wings. Often, playing DraftKings NHL on nights with less than five games is not cost efficient. Try to look for nights like tonight with 13 games where it is easier to find value without every player having a high ownership percentage.

G: J. Reimer, San Jose – $7,400
Reimer looks to continue his shutout streak and keep rolling along towards his first ever Stanley Cup playoffs. Reimer has come a long way from Toronto and his new-found confidence and success may spell doom for teams come mid April.

D: T.J. Brodie, Calgary – $4,600
Instead of opting to roster Giordano tonight, I fit in both Calgary defenseman that play on the second power play unit and face a better Vancouver team that still allows a lot of goals and turnovers. I see each team putting up goals tonight and the back-end having their hand in the scoring.

D: D. Hamilton, Calgary – $5,200
Hamilton is second piece to this equation and a vital part to his club. This year he has 11 goals and 30 assists with almost 200 shots on net.

W: A. Hemsky, Dallas – $4,600
Dallas is missing Spezza and Eaves at home tonight against Colorado, a team who just confirmed their tee times for early next weekend. Hemsky will see an increase in ice time tonight with two linemates out and will see his usual power play time as well. A great value play for the minutes he will log, close to 18 plus tonight at home.

W: B. Gallagher, Montreal – $6,000
Gallagher is healthy again and has regained his old form and looks to add to it against Carolina tonight. Carolina ranked 22nd in goals allowed as a team and Gallagher should get a piece of the scoring or add one himself.

W: J. Gaudreau, Calgary – $7,100
The kid from Jersey faces a Vancouver team that allows the second most goals 5-on-5. Gaudreau loves to play at home and will add to his impressive sophomore season that already boasts 31 goals and 49 assists.

C: P. Marleau, San Jose – $5,800
Marleau is in great form for his playoff run and leads the second line against a poor Winnipeg team that surrenders goals by the bunches. Looking to keep pace atop the standings, San Jose has its foot on the pedal still with first in their sights.

C: S. Monahan, Calgary – $6,000
Monahan is the perfect complement to linemate Gaudreau, and the two have amassed 143 points combined. Tonight they’ll try to increase that total.

Utility: V. Nichuskin, Dallas – $3,700
Nichuskin and Hemsky are missing Janmark, Spezza and Eaves tonight and face off against a terrible puck possession team. Dallas is #1 in the league in goals scored and will continue to put the puck in the net tonight capitalizing on turnovers and giveaways by Colorado.
