DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup – April 14

It’s another great night in NHL as the the rest of the teams prepare to square in pursuit if the Cup. With 4 DraftKings games on the slate I am looking to target Dallas and Florida players mixed in with a few low priced defensemen. Roster construction is just as important as player selection.

G: M. Jones, San Jose – $7,500
Jones needs to play as well on the road as he did at home to help San Jose have a chance against the Kings. The Kings are strong but lack depth on defense after Doughty and Muzzin. I see San Jose playing well and stealing Game 1.

D: B. Manning, Philadelphia – $2,500
Manning is the first of our low priced defenseman who are chez but very valuable to their teams. Manning will see an uptick in ice time and get points through blocked shots and shots on net.

D: P. Martin, San Jose – $2,700
Martin plays along side Burns and tonight, the two will try to shut down a potent offense by blocking shots as well as serving up some of their own.

C: A. Barkov, Florida – $6,900
Barkov will look to continue his outstanding season and lead his team tonight against an Islanders team that has had its ups and downs, especially in goal.

C: M. Johansson, Washington – $4,000
While he’s not as well-known as Ovechkin or Kuznetsov, Johansson does spend plenty of time on the Capitals’ deadly power play. I am looking to the veteran to get on the score sheet for a powerful offense that is going to be tough to shut down.

W: J. Benn, Dallas – $8,200
I spent up and pulled out the big guns tonight, leading the way with Jamie Benn and his Dallas Stars. As the team leading the league in goals scored, I don’t see any let down as Dallas continues to score goals against a reeling Minnesota team.

W: J. Jagr, Florida – $6,100
Alongside the youthful Barkov, Jagr led the league in points scored at home this season. As the Panthers face off against the Islanders tonight in Sunrise, Florida, there’s no reason to doubt that trend will change.

W: P. Sharp, Dallas – $6,200
Playing on the top line with Benn, Sharp will look to pair up with him at even strength and on the first power play unit, where they’ll want to take advantage of Minnesota’s 27th ranked penalty kill.

Utility: J. Thornton, San Jose – $5,900
Thorton will lead the first line and his team tonight against rival Kings. Thornton finished the season ranked in the top 5 in iCorsi puck possession and was an NHL assist leader. Thus veteran lives for these games.
