Top Prospects to Watch in Central Division

You know that sense of impending excitement you’re feeling right about now? That’s called the NHL Draft, my friend. And it’s less than a week away. A very deep crop of gifted players is about to be absorbed into the league, and the organizations that choose wisely are going to add a potential star or two to their talent pools.

Some of those teams (Edmonton and Buffalo) are getting players that will be expected to step right in at the NHL level and help instantly. Others will be repleneshing their farm systems for the future. But what about the up-and-coming prospects that are already in those farm systems at this exact moment? When do they get their due? Right now, of course.

The first Central Division club scheduled to make a selection at this year’s festivities is Colorado, and that isn’t until pick No. 10.  So this is the perfect division to, at least briefly, shift the focus back to some of the top youngsters that have already been drafted, but haven’t quite broken through. Yet…
