The Carolina Hurricanes listed top pairing defenseman Justin Faulk as a game-time decision ahead of their contest with the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday evening, but they’ve officially confirmed he’ll play as they take on their divisional rivals shortly.
As the team went out for warm-ups at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, Faulk was seen prepared to take the ice with his teammates:

This would mark his first game in almost a week, as the Hurricanes saw the 23-year old blue liner leave their game last Thursday with what seems to be a lingering leg injury that’s plagued him for most of February. The Hurricanes initially wouldn’t disclose the issue at hand for the defenseman, who boasts an impressive 15 goals and 34 points on the season thus far – but now, after resting him in their Sunday contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning, it seems like he’s ready to go.
Of course, Faulk isn’t the only player returning to action for a team in Tuesday night’s game. The Philadelphia Flyers, who have seen centre Sean Couturier in and out of the lineup for injuries this year, will see the former first round pick take the ice tonight as well.
