The Los Angeles Kings have earned a collective 28 wins in the 2015-16 season with starting netminder Jonathan Quick in net, but the 30-year-old goaltender will be out for at least a day or two with an injury.
The Kings confirmed that Quick is out day to day with an injury sustained during Los Angeles’ 9-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday evening. The team isn’t suggesting that the injury is all that serious, though, insisting that the status is only day to day and confirming via LA Kings Insider Jon Rosen that Quick will remain with the team on the trip.
For those who missed the injury, here’s a replay via the Royal Half contributor PumperNicholl:
The Kings will play tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where Quick will be out and backup Jhonas Enroth will likely earn the start against the New York Islanders.
With Quick still tagging along on the team’s seven-game road trip across the Eastern Conference and Midwest, Los Angeles will then have a game tomorrow against the New York Rangers and one on Sunday against the New Jersey Devils. The club will likely have more updates on the goaltender by the Devils game.
