In a telethon held January 23, the Arizona Coyotes Foundation raised over $65,000 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. The telethon was held in partnership with Fox Sports Arizona.
Volunteers began taking calls during the pre-game show of the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings contest Saturday night, and continued throughout the game. The volunteers included an all-star cast, like CEO and President of the Arizona Coyotes, Anthony LeBlanc, goaltender Mike Smith, as well as some Coyotes alumni.

All proceeds from the 50/50 raffle held during Saturday night’s tilt will also be donated to PCH’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Some of the gifts fans received for making a donation included signed pucks, complimentary tickets to another game against the Los Angeles Kings, and a signed Shane Doan bobblehead. Patrons who donated $100 or more were entered into a drawing for two tickets for a luxury suite during the February 2 game, with a meet and greet with Doan and Calder-chasing rookie Max Domi after the game.
Captain Shane Doan played in his 1,432 game last night during the telethon, which ties Mike Gartner at 25th for the all-time games played record.
