St. Louis Blues announced that the club has activated forward Jaden Schwartz from Injured Reserve (IR).
Schwartz has been out of the Blues’ lineup for the last 49 games after he suffered a fractured left ankle while practicing back on October 23rd. He is expected to be back in the lineup later this week when the Blues head to Florida to play the Panthers on Friday at the BB&T Center.
Schwartz, 23, appeared in seven games this season where he notched four assists and a +4 rating before the injury.
Last season the forward had 28 goals and 35 assists for 63 points in 75 games and ended the regular season with a +13 rating and 16 penalty minutes.
A native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Schwartz has recorded 139 career NHL points (62 goals, 77 assists) in 214 regular season games; additionally he has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his 18 career postseason appearances.
The 5’10, 190-pound forward was originally selected by the Blues 14th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
