With the pre-tournament games wrapping up tonight and rosters being made official for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey that starts the preliminary round of games this weekend, Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin is back off of the roster due to another lower body injury.

Seguin, 24, missed time last season, and post season, due to an Achilles injury. Due to the injury he only saw playing time in 72 of the Stars regular season games, yet still notched 33 goals and 73 points, ending the season with a plus-2 rating.

While the forward was cleared to suit up and play for Team Canada in the World Cup of Hockey, it is unclear as to whether or not this injury is an aggravation of the previous one from last season, nor if it is even the same leg.

It was during the September 9 pre-tournament game against Team USA that Seguin was tied up with defenseman Ryan Suter and slid skates first into the comer boards.

With the Dallas Stars training camp coming up later this month, thee organization has also issued a statement in regards to the report of injury to one of their star forwards.
